Where can I get a printed copy of a bill?
The Legislative Bill Room, located on the first floor of the 9th Street and Broad Street Parking Deck.
How often is the site updated?
During Session, the site is updated daily.
Can I track bills?
Yes. LIS provides a service called Lobbyist-In-A-Box (LIAB) for tracking legislation. Users simply have to register for an ID to access the service. See details about the registration for free and fee-based subscriptions here: https://lis.virginia.gov/register-account
How do I determine my district and legislator(s)?

How can I find out how my legislator has voted on a particular bill?
Each bill on the site can be accessed and the bill history shows every vote for that bill. Also, on the link to Delegates & Senators there is a link to Member Vote Search for a comprehensive listing of how each member voted in any given Session.

What is the difference between an engrossed and an enrolled bill?
An engrossed bill is the official reprinted copy of the final text of a bill incorporating all accepted amendments as passed by a chamber that is then physically transmitted to the other chamber.
A bill must pass in identical form by both the House and the Senate before it can be signed into law. An enrolled bill is the final version of the measure agreed to by both chambers and submitted to the Governor for review and signature.
