Communications are legislative documents sent from the Clerk of the House of Delegates to the Clerk of the Senate, or from the Clerk of the Senate to the Clerk of the House of Delegates containing a list of bills and resolutions passed or amended from one chamber to another, and requesting concurrence of the other chamber of the actions set forth in the Communication.
Communications may also notify the other chamber that legislation or amendments to legislation have been rejected, and may request a Committee of Conference to resolve the differences in the legislation. Communications also notify the other chamber that legislation has been amended in accordance with the recommendations of the Governor, or that recommendations of the Governor have been rejected.
